What would your Safety Rating be after DOT audit? Find out now. Need a Safety upgrade? Are you in need of the required hazmat training for ground, air, or water? Specialized equipment training? I can help!

My name is David Edmondson. For the last 8 years I have been a DOT and Hazardous Materials Consultant with a Major DOT Consulting Firm, before starting my own Firm.

My philosophy on Safety and Compliance is two-fold; First, operating safe and compliant is the conscience of the company. And two, all of the hard operational milestones achieved can be lost in one vehicle accident where a commercial motor vehicle driver or commercial motor vehicle was not in compliance. It doesn’t even have to be preventable on your part. Best to find out your compliance issues from a mock DOT audit verses real time after an accident.

I have been involved in various forms of transportation for 40 years. From small package, truckload, flatbed, and specialized equipment, to conducting hazardous materials training covering DOT ground, IATA(air), and IMDG(water) shipping. I have also been in trucking operations management for half of my career. This exposed me too best practices as well as the trucking regulations.

With this background I can also help you create Fleet Safety Manuals, DOT policies, and training for management and Drivers.

Some of my clients are not trucking companies, but are companies, large and small, where transportation is not their main business. They just happen to need various types of commercial transportation vehicles to do it with, from pickups to tractor trailers. Others are traditional trucking companies that need an audit or other support for DOT questions. Remember in interstate transport you would be regulated operating a combination vehicle over 10,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight. That would be a 3/4 ton pick up, such as a F250 or 2500 HD, pulling a double axle trailer depending on the trailer GVWR. Some people think only tractor trailers and large box trucks are regulated by DOT. That is not the case.

Onsite and remote options are available, as well as monthly support retainer options for compliance questions. Please reach out and receive the solid regulatory and best practice guidance you deserve.

Take the worry out of compliance, so you can focus on what you do best.
